Stratosphere books aims to publish contemporary fiction (think Jonathan Coe, Margaret Atwood, Douglas Coupland, Julian Barnes) by new, up and coming and established Welsh writers writing in english, bringing Welsh writing to a global audience.

We plan to publish the first book by March 2009 with four more following in the first year.

We are looking for:

1. Novels:
Submissions should be three chapters, covering letter and a synopsis.

2. The following staff:

The roles would initially be volunteer but with the plan for them to become waged in the first year of trading. This is an ideal first step into the world of publishing.
